Yantarenergo to more than double the capacity of the 110/15 kV substation Borisovo

Russia, Kaliningrad Oblast: Works of Yantarenergo are carried out within the framework of a large-scale modernisation of the energy system in the region.
During the first phase of the substation reconstruction, a 25 MVA transformer was installed which replaced the old 10 MVA one. Substation will be equipped with modern monitoring and control system which will improve the reliability of the power equipment. During the second phase of reconstruction, a new gas-insulated switchgear, current transformers and circuit breakers will be installed.
The substation also has fully modernised fire safety system, security alarm and video surveillance system. Completion of the reconstruction is scheduled for later this year.
