FGC installs new autotransformer at Vladikavkaz-2 substation

Russia, North Ossetia–Alania: Federal Grid Company has put into operation a new 200 MVA autotransformer at the 330 kV substation Vladikavkaz-2.

Russia, North Ossetia–Alania: Federal Grid Company has put into operation a new 200 MVA autotransformer at the 330 kV substation Vladikavkaz-2.

This has significantly increased the reliability of electricity supply and will also help with increasing summer loads and preparation for the winter 2014/2015, reports Press Release.

Transformers, automation and protection control system and auxiliary panels have also been installed. FGC investment in reconstruction will be about RUB 1.7 billion ($ 50 million).

Substation Vladikavkaz-2 was put into operation in 1965 and provides power supply to large industrial enterprises in the region and is involved in the transmission of electricity from the Stavropol Oblast to the Chechen Republic and Dagestan.
