The design of power transformers course by Aleksandar Lojpur is a series of lectures which attempts to closely describe to a wider audience the design challenges in meeting all the necessary requirements and their importance to transformer reliability. This lesson is going to be conducted at the Intermediate level. It deals with the concepts such as transformer cooling system types and cooling equipment. It will also deal with the topics of thermal images for different cooling methods, cooling stages and it will give tips and tricks related to the following:
- Low hot spot design
- Advantages and drawbacks of different cooling methods
- Winding coverage factor
- Pump soft start
