India, Bihar: Bihar State Power Transmission Company Ltd (BSPTCL) has successfully completed three more reconductor projects using ACCC® Casablanca, a release from CTC Global, the owners of ACCC technology said.

The reconductoring project involved replacing existing ACSR Panther-size conductors. With the completion of this project, the total amount of ACCC Conductor installed on BSPTCL’s system now stands at over 1,000 km.

The three newly-completed projects include reconductoring of: Dehri LILO Line (132 kV), Dehri-Banjari Line, and Dehri-Sonenagar Line.

A total of 219 km of ACCC Conductor was provided for these projects by Sterlite Power, who also provided engineering and installation services. The existing lattice structures were used without modification.

The average span lengths were about 325 m with one major highway crossing, two railway crossings and four crossings over the Son River. TAG provided ACCC Hardware. The ACCC Conductor upgrade raised line capacity from around 400 A to 1,050 A on each circuit with considerable reduction in sag.

ACCC® Conductor is an internationally patented and trademark registered product of CTC Global Corporation. The ACCC Conductor is manufactured in association with 34 qualified and licensed international stranding partners. In India, CTC Global has three stranding partners—Sterlite Power, Apar Industries and Gupta Power & Infrastructure.
