USA, New Mexico, Farmington: The Bureau of Land Management will hold an informational pre-application virtual workshop for the Shiprock Solar Project from on 27 May.

The proposed project area encompasses 8 km2 (1,980 acres) of BLM-administered public lands and 2.2 km2 (555 acres) of private lands located north of Waterflow, New Mexico, near the Public Service Co. of New Mexico operated San Juan Generating Station.

The proposed project would produce about 372 MW of electricity. It would connect to the existing Western Area Power Administration Substation via 345 kV transmission line or to PNM’s San Juan 345 kV station as the second option. Both substations connect the solar facility to regional electrical system grids.
