Bulgaria’s ESO awards $2.5 million power transformers deal to local tie-up

Bulgaria's ESO said on Friday that it has awarded a $2.5 million contract for supply of six 50 MVA power transformers to a tie-up between two local companies.

Bulgaria: Bulgaria’s Electricity System Operator (ESO) said on Friday that it has awarded a $2.5 million contract for supply of six 50 MVA power transformers to a tie-up between two local companies.

The winning tie-up comprises MIG 23 and Hyundai Heavy Industries Co, ESO said in a notice.

According to registry agency data, each of the two companies holds 50 % interest in the tie-up.

The power transformers will be used to equip power substations Obzor, Kableshkovo, Hristo Smirnenski and Samokov.

The tender for the contract attracted four offers.
