The fourth lesson in the Design of distribution transformers course and the second one on the Intermediate level is going to be held live on Friday, 12 November, at 2 PM CET.

Your presenter and course author is going to be Mr. Mario Salano whose expertise in the field of power transformers comes from a well established engineering skills acquired in Salano transformers, renowned Italian company that manufactured line-frequency power transformers for Italian power utilities. His current interests include high-efficiency distribution transformers, the impact of nonlinear loads on power transformers, novel materials for transformer cores and also high-frequency power transformers for the use in conjunction with power electronics topologies.

Here you can save your seat for the next session in the course. After the live broadcasting, the session is going to be available on demand. To see the entire syllabus, please check the Design of Distribution Transformers course brochure.

In this lesson you will learn about the elements for oil filled transformers: purpose analysis and considerations of which parts might be different to what is done today. The lesson is intended for transformer distribution professionals, electrical utilities and secondary medium voltage substation professionals, students and post-graduates, inspectors and supervisors, etc.

The author’s main intention is to provide a complete overview of transformer design by taking into account stakeholders’ wishes and preferences.
