DGA history and transformer specification requirements based on the applications and standards

TA hosted two amazing live sessions - one with Mr. Marius Grisaru and the other with Mr. Marcos Ferreira.

In less then a week, TA hosted two amazing live sessions – one with Mr. Marius Grisaru and the other with Mr. Marcos Ferreira. The DGA history lesson is the 13th in the DGA course, conducted on Master’s level, while the power transformers specification requirements content was conducted via fifth lesson in the Transformer specification course, delivered on the Intermediate level. Both are now available on demand.

DGA Course – e-lesson #13 – Historical technical background of dissolved gas analysis

Attend to learn about:

  • the timeline of transformer insulation materials
  • important milestones in DGA developments through the years
  • overview of historic diagnosing methods;  the so called “oldies but goldies”
  • perspectives of transformers diagnosis based on chemical measurements: will DGA be relevant in next decades?
  • health index, artificial intelligence in context of the DGA and transformer maintenance

Power transformer specification requirements based on the applications and standards

You will learn the following:

  • How to apply a ‘Scope’ based on applications and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, and Cigré)
  • Important things as part of building specification: (e.g., environment conditions and special considerations)
  • Documents should be part of specifications: (e.g., nameplate, instruction manuals, physical dimensions drawings, and factory testing reports)
