Transformers are an essential part of the energy supply network, regardless of which the type of oil is used in the transformer. However, their functions may be impaired in the long run by water particles, oil aging products and acids. This leads to rapid aging in the oil, promoting oxidation in the transformer. Temporary drying processes can be used, but they do not achieve desired prevention results.
Filter system ES 2000 is a stationary drying system with an innovative filter technology enabling a sustainable reduction of humidity in the transformer.
The new filtration unit ES 2000 is used for extending the lifetime of a transformer with a stationary drying system. Water, particles and aging products affect the lifetime of transformers. With the filtration unit ES 2000 unexpected failures can be avoided, increasing the efficiency and profitability of the transformer for a long term.
The filtration takes place in an online closed loop during transformer operation. Filtration and drying processes are done at a slow and steady pace through special cartridges. The lag time between oil and filter cartridges is longer, guaranteeing the efficiency of filtration. Clean oil has the ability of dissolving deposited residues inside the components or tank, ensuring the entire system is cleaned.
Depending on the scope of work, the system is used with a mix of different filter cartridges.
