Wisconsin, USA: Franklin Electric announced the launch of the INCON® Distribution Transformer Monitor (DTM).
Continuously monitoring the key indicators of a transformer’s performance enables remote access to real-time transformer health data and automated alarms for condition-based maintenance planning.
Communication via cellular network is possible thanks to the built-in cellular modem, which also allows utilities to deploy DTMs anywhere and at scale. A safe protocol allows secure communication with Franklin Electric‘s web-based asset management IoT database – UNITE™. DTMs combined with UNITE™ can equip utilities with a view of an entire network of distribution transformer health information, facilitating data-driven maintenance decision-making.
