Spain, Madrid: GRS, the solar EPC contractor of Gransolar Group, will build two 105 MW PV plants for BRUC in Archidona, Spain. This means that the company is approaching the completion of fifty large-scale photovoltaic projects on the Iberian Peninsula.

The Archidona PV plant will generate enough energy to power 40000 homes once finished and interconnected to the grid. It is one of GRS’s largest projects in the Iberian market, where the company has also completed Carmonita Norte (123 MW), Desafío Solar (50 MW), Las Naranjillas (50 MW) and Insua (48.5 MW) projects.

The company’s engineering, construction, and operation and maintenance (O&M) teams have collaborated with other Gransolar Group companies, with PV Hardware (PVH) to supply and install 1516 solar trackers to maximize the plant’s performance.  The company has also partnered with BRUC.

Luis Venero, chief executive of BRUC, said: “We trust in the quality and rigor of GRS to build the Archidona solar photovoltaic generation plants, which strengthen our presence in Andalusia. Along with our other ongoing projects, BRUC will have 2000 MW under construction and operation by the end of the year, from a total portfolio of 8500 MW in operation, under construction, and under development.”
