Turkey, Istanbul: The Guinness World Book of Records title ”most powerful solar power output from a sports stadium” went to a sports stadium in Turkey.

The solar power plant installed by Enerjisa Enerji, an electricity distribution and services company in Turkey, and the professional football club Galatasaray, has begun generating energy.

The 4.2 MW plant is located on the roof of the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex Nef Stadium and uses 36 pieces GoodWe’s 120 kW HT series inverters.

“As Enerjisa, we continue to bring our technology and sustainability-oriented products together with our customers under the umbrella of ‘Energy of My Business’. In this context, our priority is to contribute to our country, our customers and our nature. I would like to state that we are pleased to work with GoodWe as the inverter supplier of the project while signing one of the most important collaborations with Galatasaray, which I think will have a multiplier effect in the sector. I wish that our agreement will be beneficial for Enerjisa, GoodWe and our country,” said Ersin Esentürk, Deputy Chairman of the Enerjisa Customer Solutions.

GoodWe commented that they are committed to continuously providing add-value service to its customers and moving the world forward towards carbon neutrality by reshaping new energy. “We are pleased to mark another milestone for GoodWe and the world with this exemplary project which is the world’s largest sports complex roof project, combining sports and renewable energy.”
