Hitachi Energy announces changes to its Board of Directors

Switzerland, Zurich: Hitachi Energy today announced the appointment of Alistair Dormer as the Chair of the Board of Hitachi Energy.

Switzerland, Zurich: Hitachi Energy today announced the appointment of Alistair Dormer as the Chair of the Board of Hitachi Energy.

Alistair Dormer is Executive Vice President, Chief Environmental Officer of Hitachi, Ltd. and Chair of Hitachi Europe Ltd. Dormer replaces Toshikazu Nishino, Executive Vice President and Executive Officer, Hitachi, Ltd., who has been instrumental in the creation of our company up until the successful transition to Hitachi Energy. Toshikazu Nishino has given strong support to the business during the first phase of the company’s journey that has been of tremendous importance to build the platform for the next stage of growth. He continues in his role within Hitachi, Ltd. as Executive Vice President and Executive Officer of the Energy Sector.

Hitachi Energy today also announced the appointment of Seiichiro Nukui as Director of the Board. Seiichiro Nukui, Vice President and Executive Officer, Chief Information Officer of Hitachi Ltd., will, in his role as Director of the Board, contribute to the business’ digitalization journey by leveraging synergies with the Hitachi Group. In this role, Seiichiro Nukui replaces Atsushi Oda, who remains as an Executive Advisor of the Energy Business Administration Division of Hitachi, Ltd.

With these two appointments, Hitachi Energy’s Board will continue consisting of a total of seven members, including Vice Chair, Frank Duggan; Ryuichi Otsuki, Director; Manuel Valverde, Director; Duncan Hawthorne, Director and Timo J. Ihamuotila, Director.
