Ireland, Cavan: The former CG Ireland (CG Power Systems Ireland Limited) transformer distribution factory announced their new corporate identity in Cavan, Ireland.

MML Capital Growth Partners Ireland in collaboration with the former CG Ireland management, obtained ownership of the CG Power Systems Ireland distribution plant in June this year following the liquidation of the embattled CG business entities in Belgium in February and earlier allegations of corporate governance misconduct and financial fraud at CG in India.

In a beautifully produced video and cognizant of the corona restrictions in Ireland, Kyte Powertech launched not only their new corporate identity and brand but also their hopes and aspirations for a new future in which their strong customer focus will remain central and serve as the driving force in all design, manufacturing and sales activities.

The rebrand represents a significant step away from both the CG and Pauwels legacy as the business prepares itself for the future and focuses on remaining a competitive global supplier of electrical transformers.

The name Kyte Powertech was mindfully selected and recognizes the link between electricity and lightning and is expected to serve as the inspirational and driving force in the company to ensure continued innovation and technological progress.

Kyte has ambitious plans for further growth. A fact clearly demonstrated by the investment of some $5.26 M (€4.5 M) in new cutting technology, robotic welding and state of the art winding machines this year. They aim to remain a market leader in the manufacturing of distribution transformers.

The factory facility of some 17,500 sqm in Cavan has a manufacturing capability of 6,500 MVA annually which equates to just over 16,000 transformers. The traditional main markets for their products had been Ireland, the United Kingdom and Western Europe.

Stephanie Leonard will continue to lead the pre liquidation CG Ireland management team in Cavan as Managing Director. Her pre- liquidation management team remains unchanged.
