L&T has won secured projects to build various substations and transmission lines in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

India, Mumbai: Indian engineering and construction company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced that its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business has secured substations and transmission lines projects in the Middle East. In Saudi Arabia, the company won orders for a 380 kV substation and 380 kV overhead line. In the UAE, it secured orders to build a 220 kV substation and three 132 kV substations. The specific contract values weren’t disclosed, but the company’s statement categorised the awards as large, meaning they fall in the INR 25 billion to INR 50 billion range ($299-598 million).
