Megger acquires part of Weidman’s business

UK, Dover: Weidman Group has concluded the sale of its North American Diagnostic Laboratory Business and InsuLogicx®brand to Megger Ltd.
Weidmann’s highly respected oil analysis laboratory services became part of Megger on 1st April 2023 and operate under the AVO Diagnostic Services name, further strengthening its ability to offer online and offline asset condition insights to the electrical power industry.
Megger has announced that the nine oil test laboratories located in Canada, Mexico and the USA will operate as AVO Diagnostic Services and provide vital knowledge that operators require to help lower risk and improve the reliability of their electrical systems. The labs have delivered diagnostic packages for particular equipment adhering to international standards through a mix of laboratory, field test analysis and expert technical knowledge.

In the future, working together with our strategic software partners IPS to develop advanced data analytics software, Megger will provide customers with valuable insight on their specific transformer(s) based on the learnings from this vast data set,“ says Megger’s press release.
