USA, Virginia, Roanoke: US company Virginia Transformer (VTC) has earned a contract to supply transformers to one of the largest data centre operators in the world.

The contract was awarded following a rigorous qualification process, laying the groundwork for future opportunities between the two companies.

Over the past twelve months, the company has won supply contracts from nearly 20 largest data centre operators around the globe. Transformers the company manufactures for data centres are optimised with various parameters, and they are also self-extinguishing and non-polluting.

Virginia Transformer Corp has established the benchmark for insulation standards for dry-type transformers where the environment has corrosive, particle-laden gasses, and high humidity. The dry-type designs are made to handle harmonics. Data centre applications are designed with special coil processing to deliver transformers of the highest reliability in the industry.
