PechoM completed another noise enclosure project in Europe by adding a new success to the work it has done over the years.

The noise enclosure is first set up in the transformer test center where all the noise tests are carried out. As a result of the tests carried out by PechoM, the customer request for 25 dB(A) noise reduction was achieved, and the project was successfully delivered.

All mechanical parts were coated according to the desired paint standard (C5-M, H, VH, etc.) of the customer. All the connection points were stainless, and they remained inside the enclosure ensuring that the enclosure is suitable for outdoor conditions. Since each noise enclosure is produced as a tailor’s work, the production is carried out by providing a suitable area between the transformer tank and the enclosure wall, where the maintenance personnel can easily do their checks. The gaps and thickness of the panels are specifically designed and produced by maximizing the allowed dimensions in the field. To enable easy maintenance works and controls, the safe walkways on the enclosure and the ladder structure that provides access to the roof are designed and produced according to the customer’s request. Special covers for phase changers could be placed on the roof when needed by the customer.

During the installation, the connection of the enclosure and the base is carried out without it being anchored to the ground, for the test center to not damage the faraday cage feature. Initially, the carcass installation that will support the panel structure is implemented. During this assembly, the carcass structure, which is not fixed to the ground, is formed by the cable and insulator outputs of the transformer. Panels are mounted on the completed assembled carcass structure.

Through the field installation, PechoM supervisor engineers monitored the accuracy and quality of the enclosure assembly and reported to the customer, and the enclosure showed the same noise reduction performance in the field as in the test center.

PechoM’s noise enclosure solution is constructed uniquely and tailor-made by our engineering team. With this solution, we can reach a noise reduction up to 40 dB(A).

To create quiet transformers, PechoM will be with you with noise-level guaranteed solutions.
