Power outage planned due to transformer maintenance

South Africa, Springs: Several areas in Springs will be without power on 9 April, according to a statement released by the metro’s energy department.
According to this statement: “Due to a hot connection detected on the transformer’s red phase, urgent maintenance work needs to be executed.”
All customers supplied from JVA sub-station, New Era, will be affected by the maintenance work.
“The work will continue until the urgent maintenance work is completed.“
“However, no guarantee can be given that the indicated time frames will be met,” the statement reads.
The power will be off from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The electricity department advises residents to regard all electrical networks and equipment as being electrically alive at all times while the maintenance work is being performed.
