Peru, Lima: The Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversión) has announced it will award 10 power transmission projects worth $1.1 B in 2023.
These investments are intended to increase the reliability and capacity of Peru’s national power grid, necessary to minimise electricity losses and enable affordable energy to areas with lower availability of low-cost electricity.
“The development of these electricity transmission projects will strengthen the National Interconnected Electric System (SEIN) and will allow energy to be carried from the production centres (generation plants) to the consumption centres (companies and families) efficiently (lower costs) and with quality of service (without interruptions),” commented the director of ProInversión’s Project Portfolio, Emerson Castro.
