Rwanda, Kigali: Middle East Energy has announced plans to hold Africa Energy Expo in February 2024, with Rwanda selected as the inaugural host country.

The purpose of the exhibition is to provide new possibilities for investors and to expand the global discourse about Africa’s energy. The African Energy Expo, scheduled for February 2024, is a first-of-its-kind trade event and a continuation of Middle East Energy‘s 48-year heritage, aiming at promoting sustainable, innovative energy sources and accelerating the African energy transition.

Azzan Mohamed, Exhibition Director – Energy Portfolio MEA; Ade Yesufu, Exhibition Manager – Energy Portfolio MEA; and members of the Rwandan government represented by H. E. Emmanuel Hategeka, Ambassador of Rwanda to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Yves Gahonzire, Business Development Manager, Rwanda Convention Bureau, announced the new addition to the company’s already extensive energy portfolio.

Azzan Mohamed described how the next event would provide more opportunities for Pan-African energy industries to establish partnerships and uncover investment potential in his remarks.

“Since inception, the goal of Middle East Energy has been to drive transformation in the energy sectors of the Middle East and African regions. We have played a strategic role in bridging the gap between buyers, sellers, and all agents in the energy and power ecosystem through our events portfolio which includes Middle East Energy, Nigeria Energy, and Egypt Energy,” he said.

It will be a unique venue for energy executives to discuss and determine the future of the African energy landscape as an extension of Middle East Energy, the major energy trade event in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
