Salasar Techo Engineering starts work in Rajasthan

India, Rajasthan, Jaipur: Salasar Techno Engineering has started work on its recently secured power transmission lines contracts in Rajasthan.

Work on the contracts begun on 20 April 2021, a company official has stated, and the contractual completion date is around end of July 2022.

State power utility Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd placed orders worth $6.5 M (Rs.48 crore) on Salasar for the construction of 220 kV and 132 kV transmission lines in the state.

The first order, worth $2.7 M (Rs.20.25 crore), envisages two lines: Saipau–Maniya, and Saipau—Rajakhera. The second order, valued at $3.6 M (Rs.27.45 crore) is for the Reodar – Sirohi line. The transmission lines envisaged in both the orders aggregate around 121 km.

Commenting on the new orders, Shashank Agarwal, Managing Director of Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd said, “Rajasthan is engaging with the country’s agenda of strengthening the transmission system. The construction of new transmission lines in the state makes us a significant contributor to the national agenda for facilitating integrated and development infrastructure for overall growth. Furthermore, we consider the new orders will help us strengthen the market presence in the region.”

The scope of works for Salasar Techno encompasses supply all equipment and material, erection (including civil work), testing, and commissioning on supply on EPC basis.

Salasar Techno Engineering has wide experience of executing power transmission projects in Rajasthan given that its first power transmission EPC project was successfully completed way back in 2010.
