Spain, Extremadura: Norwegian state-owned power company Statkraft AS has unveiled plans to build a 492-MW solar photovoltaic complex in the region of Extremadura, western Spain.

The company announced this on Wednesday as it inaugurated its 55.2 MWp Talayuela II solar farm in the region. It also announced it would invest around €295 million ($320.1 million) in the complex, which will be known as Zajuril.

The project will consist of four solar farms. These will be Pinea of 150 MW, Calzadilla of 114 MW, Ahigal Cerezo of 137 MW and Guijo of 91 MW of installed capacity.
