ABOUT THE UPCOMING LIVE E-LESSON

This is the second part of lightning impulse testing lesson, with focus on waveshape control and evaluation of oscillatory and high overshoot LI waveforms, including some examples of LI failure.

This is the continuation of Lesson #7, where the attendees had the opportunity to learn about the basics and standards of lightning impulse testing of power transformers. The timeframe of one lesson was not enough to cover this topic fully, therefore next lesson of Transformer Testing Course will be the second part of LI testing lesson. Based on most of the audience’s questions, this lesson focuses on the waveshape control and evaluation of high-overshoot and/or oscillatory LI waveforms.

It contains some examples of LI failure with fault description.
