Nigeria, Abuja: The Port Harcourt Water Corporation has issued a call for tenders to construct a power station and instal a 5 MVA 33 kV/11 kV power transformer.

The bidding is to be conducted through Open Competitive Bidding (international) procedures, specified by the African Development Bank.

The Federal Republic of Nigeria has received financing from the African Development Bank for the urban water sector reform and the Port Harcourt water supply and sanitation project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the construction of the power station and the supply and installation of the transformer for the utility, which also includes the accompanying infrastructure.
