Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City: Ziehl-Abegg takes another global expansion step by establishing the new “Ziehl-Abegg Vietnam” facility.

Ziehl-Abegg, the world’s leading manufacturer of electric motors and fans, confirms its plans to open a new production facility in Vietnam. This move underscores the company’s continuous efforts to expand its production capacities and get closer to its global customer base.

The official founding ceremony of the new subsidiary, “Ziehl-Abegg Vietnam”, took place on 11 July 2023 in Ho Chi Minh City. A new facility is being built near Ho Chi Minh City with an investment of approximately 27,8 M USD (25 M EUR). Due to the ongoing high customer demand, construction work has already begun. Production at the new facility is scheduled to start in the first half of 2024, with full-scale production set to commence by the end of 2024.

The production site covers a total area of 14,000 m2, with 12,900 m2 allocated for production and 1,100 m2 for administrative purposes. This expansion follows recent investments in expanding production capacities in Poland and the United States, as well as continuous investments in Germany.

“To meet the increasing customer demands, we need to expand our production facilities worldwide and establish new ones to get closer to our customers,” says Joachim Ley, Production Director of Ziehl-Abegg. “The new facility in Vietnam is particularly important for the markets in Asia and Australia; it helps us continue to offer our customers the best possible solutions.”
